When I hit the intercom button to complain about the keys that stirred me from slumber, I am told it is Sergeant Boyers keys as though her rank should deter my request. A supervisors behavior inconsiderate to inmates is a poor example if there is any truth to guards being "encouraged" to be considerate. I would have travelled to go enjoy the total eclipse today. I watch numerous occurrences on the news and feel few other phenomenon are as spiritual. If you know my son's names, you might better understand. I will also miss my daughter's sixteenth birthday this month. Nothing will give me and my kids the moments we should be sharing, or be able to make up for this later on. Irreparable damages to the familial bond of a parent and children.

​I saw a show some time ago that was discussing a group of people "driven by control, dominance, and authority." Would you like to guess what group the show was discussing? Judges? Prosecutors? Law Enforcement? Guards? Most of the newer daytime drama is centered around glorifying law enforcement. The news does as well. When I heard a show describe a woman as a well practiced con artist and a grade A world class liar, I did not think of criminals but of authorities. I wish that wasn't so. The group being discussed in the other show was talking about serial killers but my immediate expectation was that it was about authorities as well. I am not anti-government. I am anti-corruption with an interest in accountability and responsiveness on all levels. Have you ever heard the saying that a pig in a dress is still a pig? Or, you can put a dress on a pig but its still a pig? Something to that effect. I feel like I see things for what they are while most (not all) people pretend they have good reasons for what they do, it is only excuses for them to do wrong.
